Terms of service

Last updated October 19, 2026. These are written in plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, email us before relying on it.

Who we are

Takeover Board is operated by Hashim Jacobs, doing business through LottyBotty, Inc., in California. We run an advertising venue where BMW lessees advertise leases available for assumption through BMW Financial Services, and an educational service that reviews dealer lease quotes.

What we are not

We are not a dealer, broker, lessor, lender, or escrow service. We do not negotiate on anyone's behalf, do not arrange, process or guarantee any lease assumption, do not hold cars, money or documents, and receive no compensation from dealers, brokers or BMW Financial Services. BMW and M are trademarks of BMW AG; we are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by BMW.

Listings

• You must be the lessee on the contract, with at least six months remaining, and the lease must not be an Owner's Choice or employee lease.
• The listing fee is $49, paid up front, for 90 days live. It is refunded in full if we reject the listing in review. It is not refunded once the listing is live, including if the lease transfers early or you change your mind.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of every number and photo. We check what we can (VIN, months remaining, photos) but we do not verify your contract with BMW FS.
• We may reject or remove a listing that is inaccurate, contains contact details in the description, or breaks these terms, and we may edit listings for clarity.
• Any incentive, fee reimbursement or MSD repayment is an agreement between seller and taker. We are not a party to it.

Quote audits

• An audit is $39, paid up front. You then submit the quote. A person reviews it and emails a written verdict, usually within two business days.
• Audits are informational estimates based on published program rates and the figures you provide. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and not a promise of any deal. Verify all figures with BMW Financial Services and your contract.
• If we cannot produce a verdict from what you sent (missing figures we asked for, unsupported lender), we refund the fee.

Inquiries and conduct

Inquiries are relayed by email. Don't use the board to spam, harvest contact details, post anything you don't have the right to post, or misrepresent a lease or a car. We may suspend accounts that do.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card number. Disputes and refunds are handled through the email on your order.

Limits

The site is provided as is. To the extent California law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from the site is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for the outcome of any lease assumption, any dealer transaction, or any decision you make based on an audit.
