Take over an M lease with the real monthly already run.
Every listing shows the true effective cost: advertised payment, seller incentive, your sales tax and the BMW FS transfer fee, folded into one number. Browse free. Sellers list for $49 flat.
Ending a BMW lease early can cost five figures: one Bay Area i4 lessee was quoted about $14,000 to exit. A lease transfer moves the rest of the term to someone who wants the car. List once for $49, we check the listing, you talk to takers directly.
Sellers pay incentives to get out. Spread across the months left, a $1,500 incentive on a $859 payment is an M340i for $812 a month with no acquisition fee and no 36-month commitment. The board does that math for every listing, at your tax rate.
Send us the dealer's lease quote for an M3, M4, X3 M50 or similar. We check the money factor against the BMW FS buy rate, the residual, the discount off MSRP and every add-on line. You get "this is fine" or the exact line to push back on, in plain numbers.
BMW FS only assumes leases with at least six months remaining. Owner's Choice and employee leases can't be listed.
02$500 + tax fee
BMW FS bills the lease-assumption fee to the transferor (the seller). Sellers can ask the taker to cover it; every listing says who pays.
033–7 business days
BMW FS emails the credit application to the taker. Approval typically comes back within a week.
04Taker owns the end
Disposition fee, excess miles and excess wear at lease-end belong to whoever holds the lease then. We fold the likely ones into the effective monthly.

The $39 audit
Dealer quotes hide the markup in the money factor.
BMW FS lets dealers mark the buy rate up by at most 0.00040. In the Bay Area that cap is the norm. We rebuild your payment from the published program, flag the add-ons that are pure margin, and tell you what the same car should cost. One human reads every quote; verdicts go out by email, usually within a day.
Money factor vs. BMW FS buy rate, with MSDs accounted for
Sellers pay $49 flat to list for 90 days. Takers browse free. A quote audit is $39. There is no success fee, no escrow, no commission.
Who pays BMW FS's $500 transfer fee?
BMW FS bills it to the seller. Sellers often ask the taker to reimburse it, or split it. Every listing shows who pays, and the effective monthly accounts for it.
Is Takeover Board a broker?
No. We are an advertising venue and educational service. We never negotiate, never hold the car or the incentive money, and take no money from dealers or BMW FS. The transfer itself happens between you and BMW Financial Services.
Can I get a refund?
Listings: full refund if we reject your listing in review. Once a listing is live, the $49 is not refundable. Audits: if we can't produce a verdict from what you send us, we refund the $39.
What about multiple security deposits (MSDs)?
MSDs stay on the account and transfer with the lease, so sellers usually want them paid back. Listings show the MSD count; confirm the handling with BMW FS for your specific deal.
Why NorCal first?
Sales tax here applies to each payment and the rates change by city. We keep a hand-maintained Bay Area tax table so the effective monthly is right for where you register the car. Other regions as listings show up.
Three things to know. Takeover Board is an advertising venue and educational service, not a dealer, broker, lessor or lender; we take no money from dealers or BMW Financial Services. Audits are informational estimates, not legal, tax or financial advice. Every lease assumption is subject to BMW FS credit approval and policies.
